In 2018, KC Film Fest International rolled out a rebrand that signaled a new beginning for the area’s premiere film event. Signal Theory kept the focus on the new brand for the 2019 sequel, but injected fresh energy with design inspired by the paste-up posters synonymous with blockbuster film advertising. By blending elements of vintage cinema, custom logo patterns, a bold color palette and touches of hand lettering, we made sure the 2019 Film Fest campaign included a few plot twists that spoke to film lovers of all types.
